2014年12月19日は奥様の誕生日と同時に結婚記念なので御座います。
それでメモリアルナンバーをお選び頂く事となりました。

19日に因んで　19と19でまさにイクイクナンバーなので御座います。

Gクラス

（ジークラス、Mercedes-Benz G-Class）は、
ドイツの自動車メーカーダイムラー社が
生産し、同社がメルセデス・
ベンツブランドで販売している
SUVである。「G」とはドイツ語で
オフローダーを意味する、
「ゲレンデヴァーゲン」
（Geländewagen）の頭文字である。

1979年登場。
NATO正式採用という
実績も持つもともとは軍事用車輛
であったゲレンデヴァーゲンを
民生用にアレンジさせたものが、
現在のGクラスの源流である。
およそ四半世紀に及び、
いくどものマイナーチェンジを
受けているが、エンジンと
インテリアを除く基本的部分については
当初の設計を受け継いでおり
発売当初から基本コンポーネントは
変わっていない。メルセデス・ベンツでは、
すべてのモデルチェンジを
ひとつのGクラスとして扱っている。

組立は、オーストリア・
グラーツで行われているが、
エンジンはシュトゥットガルトから
持ってきている。
日本では1981年に発売が開始され、
ショートボディやカブリオレ、
ディーゼルエンジン搭載モデルなど、
多種多彩なモデルが輸入された。
また230Gをベースに
ボディ上部を取り払って
その部分に防弾ガラス製の
箱のようなものを載せた
ローマ教皇専用車（パパモビル）
として公式行事などで使用されていたが、
フォルクスワーゲン・トゥアレグに
同様の架装を行った車輌が取って代わった。

しかし、2008年には再び
ゲレンデヴァーゲンの
最新モデルが教皇の専用車になった。
2006年、メルセデス・ベンツブランドの
最上級SUVとしてGLクラスが発売された。
このモデルは、名称の類似性はあるとはいえ、
Mクラスの上位クラスという位置づけであり、
Gクラスと置換えでのラインナップではなかった。

その後、2015年まで
Gクラスの生産販売は
継続されることが決定されたが、
2011年5月11日に発売される
「BA3ファイナルエディション」を最後に
ショートボディモデルの生産が
終了されることとなった。
右ハンドル仕様車は
一時受注生産となっていたが、
2010年にイギリス、
オーストラリアなどで
右ハンドル仕様車の販売が再開された。
